Inadequacy of Culture: A Poem

Affection stored in rhyme;
Intellect hidden in writ.
Interest stolen by books;
Will concealed by wit.

Hope replaced with dreams;
Love buried with suggestions.
Faith expelled by reason;
Truth challenged by questions.

Help hindered by fear;
Life delayed by doubt.
Angst occurring within;
Peace belying without.

Yet, alas! O Great Enlightenment
and Young Postmodern Twist,
Is there a companion
for your crippled analyst?
